What’s Next? What Have We Learned? Saturday, February 2, from 6pm to 8pm, in Baxter Hall at St Mark’s Capitol Hill, corner of 3rd and A Streets SE:
What do you learn when 55 parishioners tell you how many times they’ve experienced sexual harassment in their lives? How do you fold 1343 origami owls – one for each time reported – all over the community, and build enthusiasm as even passersby are drawn in? What’s it like to build solidarity with friends old and new as you install owls all over St. Mark’s? And what’s next, for us, and for other communities? Join the Parliament of Owls on February 2, see the installation, and find out. We’ll take questions and talk about how we got drawn in, what surprised us, and what we hope for the future. Come share stories, snacks, and learn to fold an owl. Questions: contact elin@WatercolorDC.com
